An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quality Manager to work with the London Zone Cancer Peer Review Team. This is a small team responsible for the development and delivery of the work programme for the National Cancer Peer Review process across the London Zone (London, Essex and Hertford).

The National Cancer Peer Review Programme is a core part of the Cancer Reform Strategy. It provides a process for assessing and developing cancer services throughout England based on a peer assessment of services and the development of improvement action plans. Peer review continues to deliver real improvements in cancer services.

The successful candidate will act as an Ambassador for National Cancer Peer Review; s/he will assist the Quality Manager with the implementation of a rolling Cancer Peer Review programme across the London Zone. The role requires the post holder to participate in the development of and work to a national visiting framework that is consistent across the country and aligned to other relevant review systems. The post holder will be a “champion” for peer review, taking responsibility for ensuring visiting teams and the teams and organisations being visited are prepared, as well as following through action plans.
