Finance Consultant

Salary: c£500-700 per day  

 

This consultancy firm is on the FESC framework - the firm has developed unique software to enable commissioners to see patient based activity and to monitor and track patient journeys against quality and cost. SIV enables PCT's to fulfill their governance responsibilities for PbR and non-PbR acute expenditure. The software has the potential to drive improvements in data quality, provide reliable information and intelligence for future planning and commissioning needs and ensures that all providers are treated fairly. The software can significantly reduce the length of time it takes to validate transactions whilst providing timely information for effective commissioning.

The Finance Consultant will lead a small team to provide professional expertise, and coordinate the business content, quality and functionality requirements of the software. He/she will ensure that, as a product utilised by the NHS, it is fit for purpose and reflects current policy requirements and best practice. He/she will be client facing and have a considerable role in developing and providing the acute invoice validation service to clients.
As a member of Client's Core Team he/she will contribute to the delivery of core management processes in relation to product maintenance, product development, product quality and product delivery

You will need to demonstrate:

" Proven ability to lead a team to achieve business goals
" A willingness and ability to operate in a matrix management environment and manage ambiguity
" Graduate or equivalent experience
" Professionally qualified in appropriate discipline
" Knowledge and experience of the NHS working on PbR and HRG.
" Understanding of the development needs NHS commissioners
" Extensive knowledge of NHS policy
" Demonstration of an ability to work well within a team and across an organisation

" A clear appreciation and understanding of the customer perspective, and the importance of engaging with and understanding the customers' needs
" A demonstration of a methodical approach to work coupled with the ability to innovate and to appreciate and respond to others' innovations.
" Strong analytical skills balanced with communication skills (verbal and written) - the ability to understand and create understanding of complex information among a variety of stakeholders and business partners
